Here Are 5 Ways to Reconnect With Yourself This Sunny Weekend

For many, summer is the time of loud beach days with big groups, evenings jam-packed with plans, and prioritising fun.
This is great, but it’s important to also make time for yourself. Or maybe this season, you’re just not feeling very social.
Here are 5 ways to reconnect with yourself now that the sun is out and blessing our weekends.
Take yourself on a beach day. But the catch is, your phone, your book, and all the input you use to distract yourself are not invited.
Doing something with your hands helps refocus your brain from racing thoughts to the action you’re performing. Extra points if it’s creative, and even more extra points if it’s an old hobby you once abandoned.
What are your values? What do you want to prioritise in the coming summer months? There’s no better way to learn than to take pen to paper, and journal it out.
And it’s not all about the mental work, sometimes, moving your body is all you really need to feel yourself again. Your priority isn’t building muscle or getting stronger right now, it’s connecting with your breath and your movement.
Checking in with yourself is key. We get so lost in life’s chaos, that we often forget the progress we made along the way. Write a letter to yourself and open it 3 months from now, when summer passes. See how much has changed.
