Have You Ever Spotted The ‘Qlugħ’ By-The-Wind-Sailor In Maltese Waters?

Local
Marine biologist Alan Deidun shared photos of a floating colony of polyps known as ‘by-the-wind sailor’, or qlugħ in Maltese.
The species, scientific name Velella velella, normally blooms in Maltese waters in early spring. However, this lone traveller seems to have lost its way and ended up in Maltese waters.
Did you ever see this animal?
