Hard Rock Hotel Malta Celebrates Star-Studded Grand Opening In St. George’s Bay

Hard Rock Hotel Malta has officially opened in St George’s Bay, marking the arrival of the global hospitality brand’s first hotel in Malta and introducing a new destination combining music, entertainment and luxury experiences.
The five-star hotel was inaugurated through a guitar smash ceremony attended by Hard Rock executives, local guests and international personalities, including Leomie Anderson, Corinna Brown, Gizzi Erskine and Arielle Free.

The opening celebration featured performances from Maltese artists including Aiden, Ira Losco and Shaun Farrugia, alongside an artistic swimming display in the hotel’s guitar-shaped pool and music from DJ J Joy.
Developed as part of a €350 million investment in Malta’s tourism sector, Hard Rock Hotel Malta has created hundreds of new jobs across various hospitality fields.
The 397-room property features 11 swimming pools, more than 10 dining, bar and entertainment venues, a 3,800-square-metre spa and wellness area, and a 466-square-metre ballroom.
The hotel also includes Rock Spa®, one of Malta’s largest wellness facilities, offering signature experiences including Body Rock® fitness facilities, Rock Om® yoga sessions and music-inspired spa treatments.
Hard Rock Cafe St Julian’s Malta has also opened within the hotel, offering guests and locals a combination of dining, live entertainment, memorabilia and exclusive merchandise.

db Group CEO Robert Debono said the hotel represents a major milestone for Malta’s hospitality sector, while General Manager Thomas Guss welcomed guests to a new destination where music, entertainment, dining and experiences come together.
Hard Rock Hotel Malta is now welcoming reservations, offering visitors a new Mediterranean experience blending the island’s culture with the iconic Hard Rock lifestyle.
