Maltese champions Ħamrun Spartans have proudly announced that they received a follow back from their “ultimate crush” — the official UEFA Conference League Instagram account.
This comes after the Spartans made history last week by becoming the first Maltese club to qualify for the group stage of the competition.
They secured their spot with a dramatic 3-2 aggregate victory over Latvian champions FC RFS in Riga, a result celebrated across the Maltese football community.
Now, the Spartans look ahead to facing some of Europe’s established names, including Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport, in what promises to be the club’s biggest continental challenge to date.
