Guzeppi The Gog: From Life On The Streets To A Happy Forever Home

Guzeppi, a resilient dog who captured the hearts of many across Malta, has made an incredible recovery after suffering life-threatening injuries. Recently rescued by the Association for Abandoned Animals Malta, he arrived at their facility in critical condition after being struck in the midsection by a car.

He suffered major trauma to his chest and a fractured upper arm, which was initially treated with emergency orthopaedic surgery. Despite the best efforts of veterinarians, the injuries proved more severe than first believed. The initial operation revealed severe nerve damage and exposed tissue, forcing a second surgery that resulted in the complete amputation of his front leg.

Today, the association shared the joyful news that Guzeppi has found a loving new home. “Here he is, not only fully healed but very happy in his new home,” they wrote.

The association added, “We only place our animals in the best homes, and this home is truly the best of the best.”
