‘We firmly oppose the announced measures affecting Third Country Nationals (TCN’s)’, said Yiamas, a Greek restaurant based in Malta.

‘We strongly object to policies that risk placing disproportionate financial burdens on individuals simply because of their nationality or residency status’, said Katja Levato on behalf of the outlet.

‘Behind every work permit is a human being. Someone who equally works hard, pays taxes, contributes to our economy and deserves to be treated equally with dignity, fairness and respect.’

‘As business owners, we face daily challenges with rising costs and increasing financial pressures. Yet we recognise that the people who stand beside us every day face their own struggles and sacrifices.’

The restaurant said that despite all these challenges, ‘we stand firmly behind our current and future employees and remain committed to supporting those affected by these measures.’

‘We call upon the Government to reconsider the human and our countries business impact of these decisions. Economic policy must not overlook the people and families whose contributions help sustain our country.’
