Gozo’s Capital Turns Pink In Support Of Pink October

The Marigold Foundation's Pink October Movember Malta campaign is once again turning its attention to Gozo, with a new initiative aimed at making life easier for cancer patients travelling to Malta for treatment.

For the second consecutive year, the project is focusing on Gozitan oncology patients and their families, recognising the additional challenges they face due to the island's geographical location.

While cancer treatment can already be physically and emotionally exhausting, patients living in Gozo often face the added burden of travelling between the islands to attend appointments and receive medical care.

This year, the campaign's main goal is to introduce a dedicated transport service for oncology patients, helping make their journeys safer, more comfortable and less stressful.

The initiative aims to ease some of the practical difficulties faced by patients and their loved ones during an already challenging period.

The foundation stressed that access to cancer care should never be made more difficult simply because of where someone lives.

"Because cancer care should never be made harder by geography," the campaign stated.

With its continued focus on Gozo, Pink October Movember Malta hopes to make a meaningful difference to patients and families who regularly face these journeys.

"Gozo matters. Every patient matters. Every journey matters."
