Gozo Launches Summer Work Trial Scheme For Young People

The Ministry for Gozo has launched the Work Trial Scheme for Youths, aimed at providing Gozitan young people with valuable work experience during the summer while helping them make informed career choices.

Announcing the initiative, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said the scheme reflects the government's continued investment in young people by offering practical opportunities to develop workplace skills and gain first-hand insight into professional environments.

Running since 2018, the scheme places participants with private entities and non-governmental organisations.

Successful applicants will receive an allowance of €120 per week, up to a maximum of €600 over five weeks. The scheme is open to jobseekers aged 16 to 20, full-time students aged 16 to 25, and eligible 15-year-olds who will turn 16 by the end of 2026 and have completed Year 11.

Applications open on the 22nd of June and close at noon on the 3rd of July, with placements taking place between August and September.
