Gozo Channel Has Completed Final Journey: Suspended Until Further Notice

The Ministry for Gozo and Planning has released a statement announcing that the Gozo Channel service is currently suspended.

The service is set to remain suspended until further notice. ‘We encourage all those who need to make use of the Gozo Channel Service to follow notices which are issued by Gozo Channel Operations Ltd.’

Minister Clint Camilleri also issued a statement, saying that MV Malita has completed its last journey towards Gozo and that the service is now suspended.

This comes as the government takes measures designed to address the ongoing intense storm, such as closing the primary schools of St Paul’s Bay, Qawra and Mellieħa.

Public service employees whose duties allow it are encouraged to work remotely, with garbage collection not taking place tomorrow.
