Get Up To €20,000 To Further Your Studies In Digital Innovation

Aspiring tech leaders and digital pioneers have a new opportunity to turn their ambitions into reality as the latest edition of the Pathfinder Digital Scholarship officially opens for applications.

Backed by the Ministry for the Economy, Technology and Strategic Projects and the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA), the initiative is investing €150,000 to support postgraduate students driving the future of digital innovation.

The scholarship offers funding of up to €10,000 for Master's programmes and €20,000 for PhD studies, helping students focus on groundbreaking research while reducing the financial barriers to higher education.

This year's programme targets some of the world's fastest-growing fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Digital Trust, Knowledge and Data Representation and Analysis, Technology for Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), as well as other emerging technologies shaping tomorrow's digital economy.

Designed to strengthen Malta's digital ecosystem and nurture highly specialised talent, the Pathfinder Digital Scholarship encourages students to develop innovative solutions that address real-world challenges while contributing to the country's growing technology sector.

Applications are now open and will close on the 14th of August 2026, giving prospective applicants the chance to secure funding for research that could shape the future of technology.
