Get Ready To Step Into The Valletta Waterfront Christmas Express

Step into a world of festive magic at the Valletta Waterfront, where twinkling lights dance on historic stone and the spirit of Christmas fills the air.

This season, the waterfront transforms into a wonderland, framed by the golden bastions of Malta’s Grand Harbour.

Just minutes from Valletta and Floriana, families, friends, and visitors can slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy the celebrations.

Follow the trail to Platform 1752 and discover a spectacular 35-foot Christmas tree, a 20-foot nutcracker soldier, and a playful gingerbread man, all part of a colourful, music-filled festive journey.

Santa Claus and Mrs Claus will be available for magical photo moments from 30th November to 23rd December, and children can post their letters in Santa’s mailbox to receive a guaranteed reply for all Malta and Gozo addresses.

From Wednesday 3rd December to Sunday 21st December, the Christmas Express Parade takes place each evening from Wednesday to Sunday at 19:30.

The Parade features Santa and Mrs Claus, glowing musical floats, whimsical stilt walkers, jugglers, and the uplifting sounds of marching bands.

Young visitors can enjoy complimentary activities including Winter Wonderland tuff-tray sessions, slime decorating, reclaimed wood crafts, sand art, and face painting. Meanwhile, the Valletta Waterfront restaurants offer seasonal dishes, warm drinks, and international cuisine, providing the perfect setting for families, groups, and corporate gatherings to enjoy the festivities.

All activities are free of charge thanks to the support of Valletta Waterfront restaurants, including Bistro 516, Browns Kitchen, Hard Rock Cafe Malta, Hi Sushi, Nan Yuan, Ta’ Detta, Ta’ Drinu, Tribelli, and Valletta Cruise Port.
