Gentoo Media Establishes Maltese Headquarters, Creating Over 70 Jobs

Gentoo Media has officially chosen Malta as the location for its new headquarters, bringing over 70 jobs to the island. Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, attended the opening ceremony, highlighting the company’s confidence in Malta and the opportunities the country offers.
Specialising in digital affiliation and marketing strategies for the digital sector, Gentoo Media already employs 360 people worldwide across Serbia, Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The Maltese branch will host 70 employees, the majority of whom are Maltese nationals. Establishing Malta as a primary hub underscores the country’s strong international reputation.
Minister Schembri said, “As a Government, we are proud to share the same values as companies like Gentoo Media, supporting opportunities for young Maltese and Gozitans. Companies that bring innovation strengthen our digital economy and contribute to a nation that is growing sustainably, becoming stronger, more resilient, and more innovative.”
He added that the Government remains fully committed to fostering the industry’s potential and continues to encourage the development of sustainable, high-value sectors, where quality is prioritised over quantity.
Gentoo Media’s CEO, Jonas Warrer, commented, “Malta has played a central role in our journey, and these new headquarters mark a new chapter built on growth, trust, and long-term commitment. We are proud to be expanding in Malta and to continue building from a place that shares our mindset.”
Minister Schembri was joined by Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti, who said: “Gentoo Media’s new home at The Quad is more than just an office; it is a statement of confidence in Malta and a reflection of the innovation and ambition driving our digital sector. At Gaming Malta, we believe companies choose our country not just as a hub or centre, but as a home a home of excellence in the digital sector, built on collaboration, trust, and a shared vision for the future of this industry.”
