Fran Farrugia Launches Support Group For People Affected By Cancer

Fran Farrugia, a young woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2023, just founded a cancer support group for all those in need.

She explained that during her cancer journey, she’s “gotten most of my courage by talking to fellow young adults and realising that all my emotions are valid, and I am not alone.”

Through the creation of this group, Farrugia hopes to create an environment where people can foster connection, understanding, and support with those going through similar experiences to them.

“From talking about our diagnosis to navigating life after cancer, I want this to be an honest, safe space where we can share our hopes, fears, and everything in between,” explained Fran.

The first session will be held on the 26th of August and is open to anyone affected by cancer aged 25-40.
