Four Turtles Released Back Into Sea After Rehab At Local Centre

Over recent months, four sea turtles were recovered from our waters after being found in distress, wrote Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Wildlife Rehab Centre and Nature Trust.

Through coordinated efforts and dedicated care, the turtles are given the time, treatment and space they needed to heal.

Yesterday, after completing their rehabilitation, all four turtles were successfully released back into the sea.

‘We extend our sincere gratitude to those who took the time to report these animals, as well as to the volunteers, veterinarians, Civil Protection Malta, and the Armed Forces of Malta for their invaluable support throughout each rescue and recovery.’

‘These outcomes serve as a gentle but important reminder: our actions in and around the sea matter. With awareness and responsibility, we can help reduce the risks faced by marine life and ensure that more stories end this way, with a safe return home.’
