Four Rescued After Kayaking Incident at St Thomas Bay

This afternoon, four people were rescued after encountering difficulties while kayaking near St Thomas Bay.

The Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) received a report of the incident from the Civil Protection Department, prompting the immediate dispatch of a rescue vessel. Authorities were able to locate the individuals in distress and bring them to safety.

Following the rescue, all four kayakers were handed over to medical personnel from Mater Dei Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The Armed Forces of Malta issued a statement confirming the successful operation and praising the swift coordination between the RCC, Civil Protection Department, and rescue teams.

Officials reminded the public of the importance of safety measures when participating in water sports and encouraged the use of proper equipment and adherence to local guidelines.
