Police arrested two men who were found in possession of various substances suspected to be drugs whilst they were carrying out foot patrols in St Julian’s in relation to drug trafficking.

During the patrol, one of the men, a Somalian man aged 38 and resident of Birżebbuġa, approached an officer who was dressed in normal outfits and offered him drugs.

He was immediately arrested along with a 41 year old Romanian man resident of St Julian’s.

A search on their person yielded 18 sachets of suspected cocaine, along with 12 sachets of suspected cannabis and 13 pills of suspected MDMA.

The police continued the investigation in the Romanian’s residence, where a 27 year old Maltese man resident of l-Isla, along with a 33 year old Colombian man were found.
