Four Arrested By Police After Marsa Raid For Alleged Drug Trafficking

Police carried out a raid on a residence in Spencer Hill, Marsa, on Wednesday evening following several days of surveillance and investigations into alleged drug trafficking activity linked to the property.
A 40-year-old man who resides at the address was arrested during the operation, along with a 46-year-old man from Senglea and a 56-year-old woman from Rabat, Malta.
During searches inside the residence, officers found substances suspected to be cocaine and heroin, as well as several items allegedly connected to drug trafficking activities.
Police also seized around €700 in cash and other valuable items from the property.
Meanwhile, officers intercepted a vehicle in Triq Ninu Cremona, Paola, after the driver had earlier been seen leaving the Marsa residence.
The driver, a 32-year-old man from Paola, was found in possession of around 25 sachets containing a substance suspected to be cocaine, together with a number of used syringes.
Investigations are still ongoing. Two of those arrested are expected to appear in court this morning before Magistrate Dr Nadine Lia LLD.
