Former PM Lawrence Gonzi Celebrates 73rd Birthday

Former Prime Minister and Nationalist Party leader Lawrence Gonzi is celebrating his 73rd birthday today.
Taking to social media, former PN MP Robert Cutajar congratulated the former leader, saying it was an honour to have worked alongside him over 15 years.
‘Thank you for your work, dedication and service in the name of our country’, wrote Cutajar.
Gonzi served as Prime Minister of Malta between 2004 and 2013, as well as speaker of the house from 1988 to 1996.
He was also Minister for Social Policy from 1998 to 2004 and deputy prime minister from 1999 to 2004. He took over as prime minister from Eddie Fenech Adami, and oversaw Malta’s adoption of the euro.
