Former HazZzard Contestant Opens Up On Birthday In Hospital For Cancer Rehab

Former HazZzard contestant Ingrid Sammut took to social media to open up about spending her birthday in hospital as she continues her cancer rehabilitation.

‘Today is my birthday’, wrote Ingrid. ‘And I am not celebrating it the way I used to...not with music, dancing, laughter, or the version of me that used to light up a room without even trying.’

‘Today I find myself in a hospital bed, held in a body that feels like it’s constantly at war with itself.’

‘The pain never stops or softens. And perhaps the hardest part of all is that the cause of this relentless suffering still feels like an unresolvable mystery. No clear answers. No neat explanation.’

‘I choose, consciously, to keep fighting. To make every breath worth taking. I choose to believe that this pitch darkness is not the end of my story.’

‘This birthday is not about candles or wishes. It is in a hospital bed and is far from being a "happy" birthday.’
