Spazju Kreattiv will host one of the year’s most anticipated group exhibitions when 'For Want of (not) Measuring' opens on the 12th of March 2026.

Curated by Prof. Vince Briffa, one of the two artists selected for the Malta pavilion at the Malta Biennale 2026, the exhibition runs until the 3rd of May and brings together a mix of 10 international and Malta-based artists.

The show examines society’s growing obsession with metrics, from wealth and performance, all the way to social media likes, questioning what is lost when human experience is reduced to data.

Through drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, installation, film and sound, the participating artists, including Trevor Borg, Matthew Galea, Katie Sims, Jim Hobbs, Patrick Jones, Davd Waterworth, Canecapovolto, Kristina Huxley, Yanyun Chen and Andreas Treske, challenge the idea of measurement as an objective tool.

Briffa said the exhibition explores the gap between hard data and lived experience, arguing that metrics often simplify and control rather than capture complexity.

Assisted by co-curator Alexander Zammit, he aims to invite audiences to reconsider how value, meaning and credibility are defined in an increasingly quantified world
