Flooding Around Maltese Islands As Heavy Rainfall Hits

The Maltese islanders were battered by strong rainfall yesterday, Sunday 13th September, with various spots experiencing heavy flooding.
Footage sent to this newsroom shows vehicles wading through the waters, carefully making their way around as rain continued to pour.
Showers, with thundery weather, are expected to persist today and tomorrow, with rainy weather set to continue all throughout the week. A very drastic switch from the heat and sun of just a few days ago!
Temperatures are still set to feel relatively hot, reaching up to 31 degrees Celsius as the week progresses.
