Following last week’s stormy weather, local resident Adrian Stivala raised concerns in a Facebook post about flooding at Msida’s bus stops, attributing the issue to drainage problems.

Footage shared by Stivala shows the situation at the Kullegg bus stop in Msida, where heavy rainfall led to an overflow of drainage water. In his post, he described the scene as “Drenched in drainage spread all over half of Malta by public transport. People and vehicles shuffling in sh..t! Besides the unbearable stench”

“Images of Msida bus stop Today at 08 30am. drenched in drainage spread all over half of Malta by public transport. People and vehicles shuffling in sh..t! Besides the unbearable stench!!”

According to sources who spoke to Malta Daily the area was cleaned this morning, but the drainage overflow returned shortly after. This situation caused difficulties faced by commuters trying to cross the road or board buses under such conditions.
