As part of the launch of Malta Vision 2050, we got a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-revealed Malta Vision 2050 cube, located when you’re walking towards Triton Square from Floriana to Valletta the first immersive experience of its kind in our country.

Mirrors have been installed on the outside of the structure, meaning that it reflects the surrounding area, showing the present. While the exterior shows the present, the interior will present the future.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a unique 15-minute experience exploring what Malta and Gozo could look like over the next 25 years.

Imagine being inside a cinema, but in such a way that you are literally within the film itself, watching urban areas reimagined and the island’s environment safeguarded for future generations.

The cube will be unveiled to the public this evening as part of the official Malta Vision 2050 launch. A dedicated stage has been set up in Triton Square for the occasion, though it will be dismantled after the event.

The cube itself, and its immersive experience, will remain open for three full months, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to explore Malta’s possible future.

This innovative project gives a literal and striking look at the plans shaping the island for the coming decades, combining visual spectacle with a forward-looking vision for Malta, and Gozo.

The vision works towards a ‘better future for all, through a 24 year strategic framework, supported by interim milestones and targets for 2035.’
