Fires Engulf Scrapyard In Ħal Għaxaq

Fires have been reported to have engulfed a scrapyard in Ħal-Għaxaq.
Civil Protection Officers went immediately on site to address the flames.
‘The public is urged to avoid the area due to safety concerns and ongoing emergency response operations’, wrote CPD.
‘Residents in nearby towns and villages including Żejtun, Gudja, Ħal Għaxaq, and Birżebbuġa are advised to keep all doors and windows closed as a precaution against smoke and fumes.’
