Fire Breaks Out at Buġibba Beach Club, Two Treated for Smoke Inhalation

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a beach club in Buġibba on Sunday morning, the 9th of August.

Crews from Station 3 were dispatched to the scene after a fire broke out inside the complex. Upon arrival, firefighters located the blaze in the beach club’s waste storage room and immediately began firefighting operations.

The fire was successfully extinguished, after which firefighters secured the area and ensured that it was safe.

Two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by a medical crew from Mater Dei Hospital. Both individuals were discharged at the scene and did not require further treatment.

The Civil Protection Department also thanked Malta Police Force officers from the 11th District for their assistance during the operation.

The cause of the fire was not stated.
