Fgura United Launches Toolkit To Support Young Footballers In School Transition

Fgura United Football Club has launched Growing Together: From Primary to Middle School, a new toolkit designed to support young footballers as they move into Year 7 and adapt to the changes that come with starting Middle School.

The transition introduces new routines, subjects, friendships and responsibilities, while also taking place during an important stage of personal and emotional development. The toolkit aims to provide practical support for players, parents and guardians, as well as coaches and club administrators.

Divided into three dedicated sections, Growing Together covers a range of topics including organisation, independence, peer pressure, online behaviour, wellbeing, communication, safeguarding, and maintaining a healthy balance between education, football and rest.

The initiative forms part of Fgura United’s wider efforts to support players beyond the football pitch. It follows EDU90, a programme allowing post-secondary students representing the club to access tutoring assistance from a dedicated group of educators.

The club has also surveyed players about their reading habits and interests as it prepares to establish a dedicated reading library. Through these initiatives, Fgura United aims to help develop not only better footballers, but also confident, responsible and well-rounded young people.
