Fgura United F.C. Launches “Education through Football” Programme

Fgura United F.C. is proud to announce that it has successfully secured funds from the “More Inclusive Communities Scheme 2025” to launch a new initiative, “Education through Football,” in the coming months.

This exciting programme will combine education with sport and will feature:

Essay Writing Sessions in both English and Maltese, focused on inclusive themes. All essays will later be collected and published in a dedicated book.

Inclusive Bookmarks, which will be distributed to encourage and inspire a love for reading.

A specially designed Drawing Book, showcasing inclusive illustrations created during the programme.

What makes this initiative unique is that the sessions will be held before training and will be led by educators who are also professional football players. This sends a strong message that academic and professional progress should go hand in hand with sporting progress, rather than compete with each other.

With “Education through Football,” Fgura United continues its mission to create a positive impact not only on the pitch but also in the wider community, nurturing players who grow in both education and sport.
