Festa Annimali is set to return to Ta’ Qali for the third year in a row.

Organised by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, the event has become a key part of Malta’s activity calendar, bringing families and communities together to celebrate and promote animal welfare across Malta and Gozo.

The festival recognises the efforts of everyone working for the wellbeing of animals, from volunteers and NGOs to veterinary professionals and authorities, while stressing the importance of a more responsible and educated society in relation to animals.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including talks and workshops on animal welfare, exhibitions of dogs, rabbits, and horses, as well as educational stands, live music, and a dedicated children’s area.

Minister Anton Refalo explained that the event highlights the country’s commitment to animal welfare and provides a space for communities to celebrate those who work daily to support animals. He added that the government will continue to strengthen initiatives promoting animal welfare and fostering a responsible society sensitive to their needs.

Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said encouraged Maltese and Gozitan families, especially those with pets, to attend Festa Annimali. The event at Ta’ Qali National Park will raise awareness of animal care and celebrate their role in daily life.
