FAMILY TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR CALVIN BRINCAT

Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the passing of 32-year-old Calvin Brincat, with family and friends remembering him as a kind soul who brought joy to everyone around him.

In an emotional post shared by his family, they described the past three months as “the hardest of our lives”, recalling how Calvin endured immense pain following his diagnosis with pancreatic and liver cancer, yet never lost his humour.

“You were a truly sensitive soul with an extraordinary gift for kindness, and the world feels so much dimmer without your light,” the family wrote, reflecting on cherished memories filled with laughter, music, and his love for life.

Known to many as a participant in the HazZzard TV show, Calvin, was remembered for his vibrant personality and ability to light up any room. His family fondly recalled the countless moments they spent singing, laughing, and enjoying life together.

While expressing their heartbreak, the family also found solace in knowing that Calvin is now at peace after his battle with cancer. They described him as their “guardian angel”, promising to carry his memory and the joy he brought into their lives forever.

The message also included gratitude towards the public for the overwhelming support shown in recent weeks, with over €38,000 raised through a fundraiser launched to help cover medical expenses and daily needs after his diagnosis.

Calvin’s story touched many across Malta, as the event planner and delivery worker from Birkirkara faced a life-changing diagnosis that quickly transformed his daily life into one centred around hospital visits and treatment.

He is being remembered not only for his strength during his illness, but for the love, laughter, and light he shared with everyone who knew him.
