Explosive Disposal Unit Deployed To Ħamrun After Suspected Device Found On Pavement

Yesterday afternoon, the Armed Forces of Malta received a report from the Malta Police Force regarding a suspected explosive device located on a pavement along Qormi Road, Ħamrun.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel were immediately deployed to the site, with a safety cordon established by the police while specialist personnel carried out the necessary procedures.
Following an assessment and verification process, Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) Procedures were carried out to render the area safe.
The AFM thanked the police force and all responding personnel for their cooperation and professionalism.
