Every Maltese Person Right Now As Temperatures Hit 30°C

As temperatures across Malta begin feeling like 30°C, the entire country has entered its yearly summer transformation.
Suddenly, everyone’s at the beach. Your Instagram feed becomes an endless loop of sea selfies, iced coffees and sunset stories captioned “finally summer.” The same people who were freezing in hoodies two weeks ago are now acting like they were born for this weather.
Every Maltese person is currently doing at least one of the following:
complaining about the heat, planning a beach day, buying a fan, getting sunburnt, or saying “imma it's still too early to swim ta'!”
Meanwhile, roads near the beaches are already chaos, someone’s uncle has started wearing sandals everywhere, and group chats are filling up with “who’s up for a swim?”
You also know it’s officially hot when:
- the first watermelon gets cut open at a family gathering
- people start sleeping with the fan directly aimed at their face
- the phrase “hawn oven barra” returns to daily vocabulary
- and every parked car becomes physically untouchable by 2PM
And despite all the complaining… everyone secretly loves it.
Malta summer mode: activated.
