€2 Million “Irrestawra Darek” Grant Scheme Announced For Gozo Region

The Planning Authority has announced the “Irrestawra Darek” grant scheme for Gozo, with a total investment of €2 million into the restoration, conservation, and maintenance across Malta’s sister island.

Applicants may be entitled to up to €15,000 for restoration works across all properties located within Urban Conservative Areas, up to €100,000 for the restoration of Grade 1 scheduled buildings situated within UCAs, and up to €50,000 for Grade 2 scheduled buildings within UCAs.

One can apply for the grant between the 25th of March and the 1st of April, where they will be strictly assessed before determining eligibility.

The application process is made up of 4 phases: Expression of Interest, Request for Funding, Monitoring, Payments and Completion, and finally, Property Eligibility Check.
