As election tensions are currently rising, the Labour Party has announced a six day congress focused on “formulating the guidelines for the Labour Party’s election manifesto.”

The congress, themed “Malta Aqwa: Ikteb il-Kapitlu Li Jmiss,” is set to take place between the 12th and 17th of April.

This was all announced by Deputy Leader Alex Agius Saliba and Party President Alex Sciberras during a Facebook broadcast.

Deputy Leader Alex Agius Saliba explained how the goal of this congress is to ensure that Labour’s manifesto is truly built on people’s inspirations, to create an even better Malta in the future.

The opening of the congress will take place in Ta’ Ċenċ, Gozo, followed by assemblies with delegates and councillors, a business breakfast and numerous workshops, ensuring that “everyone is brought to the table,” stated Sciberras.

The congress will close in Ta’ Qali on the 17th of April, with a speech by Prime Minister Robert Abela.
