Elderly Man Reportedly Assaulted By Care Home Roommate

An elderly woman has filed a judicial protest after her husband was allegedly attacked by another resident at the St Joseph Home in Fgura.
According to Newsbook, the protest, submitted by lawyers Josè Herrera and Naomi Spiteri on behalf of Antonia Perini, states that on 14 October her 88-year-old husband, Giuseppe Perini, was assaulted by a man who shares his room.
He is now being treated at Mater Dei Hospital in a critical condition.
Photographs circulating online show Mr Perini with severe bruising to his face and chest, as well as swelling and bleeding.
Mrs Perini is calling on the companies managing the home to take responsibility and discuss compensation for the injuries suffered, Newsbook reported.
