€9 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found During Gozo Harbour Arrest

Investigations and observations by police over a number of days due to suspicious activities between Malta and Gozo led to the arrest of a 45 year old Croatian man.

The arrest also led to the discovery of 76kg of drugs, suspected to be cocaine. The drugs would have amounted to around €9 million.

On Tuesday, police stopped a vehicle in the Imġarr harbour, Gozo. During the search on the vehicle, 18kg of suspected cocaine were found.

The search continued in the residence of the suspect, where another 58kg of suspected cocaine were found, along with a number of vehicle umber plates.

An inquiry has been opened and investigations are still ongoing.
