€1,736,216 Raised For Dar Bjorn In Sunday Telethon

€1,736,216 was raised during ALS Malta’s 10th annual fundraising telethon, ‘Miegħek Jien,’ a testament to the generosity and solidarity of the Maltese public.
‘I have no words’, Bjorn wrote on social media. ’Thank you to Malta and Gozo for raising, through your good hearts, the final amount of €1,736,216.’
ALS Malta was founded by Bjorn Formosa after his own diagnosis with ALS at just 28. Given only a few years to live, Bjorn has now reached ten years with the condition, years marked by courage, dedication and an unwavering drive to support others.
In spite of his physical decline, he has managed to open two specialised homes for neurological patients, with a third, the DAR Bjorn Respite, currently in progress.
Throughout the telethon, residents of DAR Bjorn Qormi and Żebbuġ, together with their families, spoke about their daily realities and the life-changing impact of ALS Malta.
The foundation provides essential technology and equipment that restores dignity and a sense of independence to those who can no longer move or care for themselves unaided.
