The Ministry for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, through the European Union Programmes Agency, has announced the official results of the first and second calls of 2025 for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes.

Over €14 million have been allocated to support projects across a range of fields.

The announcement took place at the Maritime MT building in Birżebbuġa, a vocational training institution in the maritime sector and one of the beneficiaries under the Erasmus+ programme.

This investment represents a direct commitment to young people, educators, and the wider community, while also strengthening Malta’s active role in the European sphere. The funding covers formal and non-formal education, vocational training, youth development, and solidarity initiatives that have the potential to transform lives and open new horizons.

Minister for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, said, “The Government remains committed to investing in both formal education and non-formal training. Through these opportunities that we are providing to our young people and educators, we are ensuring that Malta continues to prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.”

The Erasmus+ programme continues to be one of the EU’s most successful initiatives, offering students the chance to study abroad, equipping educators with new skills, and strengthening schools and training institutions through international collaboration. The European Solidarity Corps, on the other hand, aims to empower young people to contribute to society both locally and across Europe through volunteering and solidarity projects.
