€11 Million Tender Announced By Minister Miriam Dalli For New Green Space Between Bormla And Senglea

Minister for Environment, Energy, Miriam Dalli, has confirmed that a planned construction project on a plot of land between Bormla and Senglea will be replaced with a public green space.

Following a period of consultation and careful planning, Project Green has today launched the call for tenders. The initiative will create an underground parking facility topped with a 3,200-square-metre garden, intended for public enjoyment.

Minister Dalli described the project as “a vital step in creating sustainable urban spaces that benefit both residents and the environment,” highlighting the government’s commitment to combining development with accessible green areas.

Project Green stated that the space of around 3,200 square metres, which was originally intended for an AUM dormitory, will now be transformed into an open green area.
