Dusty Winds Blowing Up Towards Malta From Africa

Local marine biologist Alan Deidun shared a satellite image from the EU’s Copernicus satellite service showing Sahara desert dust making its way up towards Europe… and Malta.
‘Some fertiliser coming our way from the Sahara in the past few days…’, wrote Deidun.
The Maltese islands are currently being covered in dust as a bout of hotter weather hits the Mediterranean island.
The next week however is set to be wetter and colder, with winds picking up force and with rain showers expected.
