DOGS IN NEED OF URGENT MEDICAL CARE RESCUED BY ANIMAL WELFARE OFFICIALS

Authorities have confiscated a number of dogs that were allegedly in urgent need of medical treatment during an operation carried out on Sunday morning.
The confiscation was conducted by officials from the Animal Welfare Directorate with the assistance of the Malta Police Force.
Parliamentary Secretary for Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said confirmed the operation, thanking the Director of Animal Welfare and all the officials involved for their dedication and work.
She reaffirmed the government's commitment to tackling cases of animal cruelty and neglect, stating that efforts will continue to ensure the welfare and protection of animals across Malta.
Further details about the condition of the dogs or the circumstances leading to the confiscation have not yet been released.
