Dog Living Alone For 8 Months After Owner Died Ready For 2nd Chance

Muddy Paws Dog Resort shared the remarkable story of Duke, an 8 year old dog who spent 7 months in the only home he knew alone after his owner passed away.

Yesterday, Duke was picked up and taken to the vet, where he was fully checked and tested. All his tests came back well, especially for an 8 year old boy!

‘He did, however, desperately need some care. His nails had grown so long that they were curling into his paw pads, and he has a very bad ear infection which is now being treated.’

‘But what amazes us most is Duke himself. Despite everything he's been through, Duke absolutely loves people and is very friendly with other dogs. He hasn’t lost his trust in the world.’
