The Dock Music Festival will return to Dock No. 1 in Cospicua on Saturday 20 September, promising a lively evening of music and entertainment in one of Malta’s most historic locations. The event, which is free of charge, will feature a mix of local and international artists, creating a celebration of culture and community spirit. Details were announced by Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Alison Zerafa Civelli, Chairman of the Cottonera Foundation Joe Mizzi, and Mayor of Cospicua Marco Agius.

Set against the recently restored architecture of Dock No. 1, the festival will showcase a strong line-up including the Drop Out Band, singer Fabrizio Faniello, Petra Zammit, and tribute act Roy in the Legend. The setting by the sea will provide a unique backdrop, blending music with the maritime character of the Cottonera area.

Parliamentary Secretary Zerafa Civelli said the festival offers residents and visitors a memorable cultural experience in their own community. She underlined the government’s commitment to supporting such events, which bring people together and highlight the value of public spaces.

Joe Mizzi emphasised that Dock Music has become more than just a concert, creating a sense of unity and attracting audiences from beyond the Cottonera region. Mayor Agius added that Dock No. 1, dating back to 1848, combines historic architecture with maritime heritage, making it one of Malta’s most distinctive open-air venues.

The Dock Music Festival begins at 7:30pm and is organised by the Cottonera Foundation in collaboration with various partners.
