Taking to social media, Dive In Café & Grill has shared heartbreaking news after Storm Harry caused significant damage to its restaurant, which is located above Għar Lapsi, one of the areas worst hit by the storm.

In a post accompanied by images showing the extent of the destruction, the restaurant revealed that although it was scheduled to reopen following its annual holidays on 26 January, it will now remain closed for the time being while essential repairs are carried out.

The team explained that their guests’ favourite area was the most severely affected by the storm. Despite the damage, the restaurant expressed relief that all staff members are safe and well.

Dive In Café & Grill also thanked the many customers and supporters who reached out with messages and calls of concern, describing the support received as overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

The restaurant assured patrons that all necessary precautions are being taken and that updates will be shared as work progresses, adding that they look forward to welcoming guests back as soon as it is safe to do so.

Storm Harry caused widespread damage across several coastal areas, with Għar Lapsi among the locations suffering the heaviest impact.
