Delia Congratulates Borg After PN Leadership Election

Adrian Delia has congratulated Alex Borg on becoming the youngest-ever head of a major political party in Malta, following a nail-biting contest for the PN leadership.
Borg, 30, secured victory by just 44 votes, with 8,905 against Delia’s 8,861, after a summer-long campaign that came to a close late Saturday night. The final result was confirmed at around 4am on Sunday by the PN Electoral Commission.
In a public message shortly after the result was announced, Delia expressed both humility and gratitude, “Congratulations Alex Borg. Thank you to all those who believed in me. I did my utmost to earn your trust. Humbled. I hope that through my actions I can still earn the respect of those who did not.”
