De Mondion Wins Best Overall Restaurant In Malta

De Mondion has been named the Best Overall Restaurant in Malta for 2026, securing the top position in the Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants survey and confirming its status as one of the country’s leading dining destinations.

Announced during the annual awards ceremony held on 8 December 2025 at The Grand Hotel Excelsior, the accolade reflects the consistently high praise the restaurant received from diners across Malta and Gozo.

Only 150 restaurants qualify for inclusion in the guide each year, making de Mondion’s achievement particularly significant.

In addition to being crowned the survey’s top restaurant, de Mondion also won the prestigious Best Food award.

The restaurant was further recognised as one of the first establishments to join EcoCook Malta, the new national sustainability certification for restaurants.

The awards were presented in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Foreign Affairs Ian Borg, alongside representatives from the Malta Tourism Authority, Global Payments and the Malta Food Agency.
