CPD Warns People To Avoid Balconies, Rooftops Due To Strong Winds

The Civil Protection Department has warned people to avoid elevated areas, which include balconies, rooftops and hillsides, due to strong winds hitting the Maltese islands.
The warning was published to be applicable for 12 hours throughout the night between Sunday 18th and Monday 19th January.
However, according to weather forecasts on local weather reports indicate wind force climbing up to Force 8 and 9 by Tuesday 20th, extending the warning further.
The cyclonic pressure, part of Storm Harry, according to weather page ‘It-Temp Madwarna’, is also set to be accompanied by days of rain showers well into the week.
