CPD Respond After Fire Breaks Out In Marsaskala Apartment Block Yesterday

A structure fire broke out in a Marsaskala apartment yesterday, leaving many residents stranded on their balcony and requiring evacuation.
Fire stations 1, 3 and 5 were immediately dispatched on scene following initial reports, where it was discovered that the apartment’s electrical meters caught fire.
Many residents could not safely leave the apartment so the civil protection department used a Turntable ladder reaching 4.32 metres, along with a 13.5 meter ladder to safely evacuate the residents.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the fire was successfully brought under control.
