CPD Extinguish Structure Fire In Ħad-Dingli After 5 Hours Of Continuous Work

A fire in Ħad-Dingli was brought under control this morning following approximately five hours of continuous firefighting and cooling operations, the Civil Protection Department (CPD) said.
A total of 42 firefighters were deployed to the scene alongside 12 fire appliances from Stations 1, 3, 4 and 8.
Around 220,000 litres of water were used throughout the operation as firefighters worked to bring the incident under control and cool the affected area.
During the operation, CPD firefighters safely rescued one resident and a dog from the scene.
The department thanked Mater Dei Hospital’s Emergency Department and Malta Police Force officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit, as well as the 10th and 11th Police Districts, for their assistance.
The incident required several hours of sustained firefighting efforts, with multiple CPD stations involved in tackling the situation and ensuring the safety of those in the area.
