Infrastructure Malta shared photos of the recent blossoming on the busy bypass.

The wall has unfortunately faced some controversy back in the day, with Infrastructure Malta stating that it would be taking legal action agains the private contractor responsible for maintaining the green wall back in 2024.

The legal action followed the contractor’s failure to meet the maintenance obligations under the five year agreement.

The contractor, The Doric Studio, was reportedly paid almost €480,000 to install and maintain the green wall for five years.

The wall was also critiqued last year by Maltese artist Keit Bonnici, who held a vertical picnic on the green wall.

Now, after maintenance works, the garden has taken on new life, with the flowers bringing new character and vitality to the area.
