Conrad Borg Manche Claims He Was Offered Consultant Job By Minister

Nationalist Party candidate Conrad Borg Manche claimed that he was offered jobs, up until last week, as he got closer to announcing his candidacy with the Opposition.

Borg Manche had served as Gżira’s Labour-backed mayor between 2015 and 2024, and gained prominence for championing environmental causes.

His relationship with Labour deteriorated over the issue, culminating in his resignation from the party in October 2023. At the time, he accused Labour of abandoning its founding socialist principles and said he was no longer willing to conform as a “yes man.”

Earlier this week he announced that he would be contesting the upcoming general election with the Nationalist Party.

Speaking on NET News, he claimed that he was offered jobs worth thousands up until the very last week, but said that he did not want his values to be tarnished.
